Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently in federal custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, with his trial scheduled for May 5, 2025. He made his first court appearance on October 10, where Judge Arun Subramanian set the trial date. According to a court filing obtained by USA TODAY on October 15, Diddy’s legal team addressed Judge Subramanian in a letter requesting a ruling that would compel prosecutors to “identify the alleged victims” who helped build the case against him. This request came after four John Does and two Jane Does filed new assault lawsuits against him on October 16. However, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York opposes revealing the alleged victims’ names, as they follow standard procedures to protect the identities of sexual assault victims for their safety. The rapper was arrested and indicted in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution.
