VMAs 2021: Olivia Rodrigo, BTS Bag Awards at the Event Packed With Surprises
Apart from Rodrigo and BTS, Rapper Lil Nas X and pop star Justin Bieber won the top titles at MTV's annual Video Music Awards. Alicia Keys sang Empire State of Mind outdoors against the backdrop of the New York City skyline, while Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, veteran New York rapper Busta Rhymes, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly were among those on stage.
The VMAs 2021 are finally over. After much anticipation about who will perform and who will bag the most awards, the award night had quite some surprises for the artists. Olivia Rodrigo, BTS were amongst the first few artists who bagged awards at the event.
Rodrigo took home three awards, including best new artist and song of the year for Drivers License. BTS was named group of the year and won best K-Pop for single Butter.
