It is the season of prequels, and we now have the live-action adaptation of the 2019 film The Lion King, which was a major hit at the box office. Mufasa: The Lion King sees the origin story of Simba's dead father, Mufasa, as told to his daughter Kiara by Rafiki (Pumba and Timon are also present), and his equally dead evil sibling, Scar. The trailer reveals that Scar was once called Taka, Mufasa was his adopted brother, and they once shared a strong friendship that, somewhere down the line, soured. Also, they face a pride of what we assume are white lions. Mufasa-The Lion King Trailer: Disney's Live-Action Prequel Explores Lives of Young Mufasa and His Brother Scar.
