Director Michael Bay is facing charges related to the death of a pigeon on the set of the 2018 Netflix film 6 Underground, starring Ryan Reynolds. The director denies the charges, touting "clear visual evidence" disputing the incident. Allegedly a homing pigeon was killed by a dolly while filming a scene in Rome. An unnamed person on set that day is said to have photographed the incident. Bay denied it happened. "I am a well-known animal lover and major animal activist," he stated.
