Dr Mark Chavez, one of two physicians charged in connection with Matthew Perry's death, appeared in a Los Angeles court on Friday after agreeing to plead guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine to the actor. The 54-year-old San Diego physician became the third person to plead guilty in connection with the Friends star's ketamine overdose at his California home last year. Chavez remains free under certain conditions, including surrendering his passport and discontinuing his medical practice. He was released on a bond of USD 50,000. His attorney, Matthew Binninger, said, "He's incredibly remorseful. He's doing everything in his power to make amends for what happened. While he didn't formally accept responsibility today, he is fully cooperating with the investigation." Matthew Perry Death Case: ‘Friends’ Actor's Physicians No Longer Allowed To Prescribe Medications Amid Ketamine Case.
