Singer Ingrid Andress has admitted that she was drunk during her National Anthem performance at the MLB Home Run Derby on July 15, a rendition that was widely ridiculed on social media. In a statement posted to Instagram, Andress apologised to “MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition,” and announced her plans to check into rehab. She shared that she will be entering a treatment facility today “to get the help I need,” adding with a touch of humour: “I’ll let y’all know how rehab is, I hear it’s super fun” [sic]. During her performance, Andress was off-key throughout the song and struggled with the high notes, occasionally prompting boos from the audience. Warner Bros Discovery Layoffs: US-Based Entertainment Company To Lay Off Around 1,000 Employees as Part of Cost-Cutting Efforts.
