Amidst the cancellation of Batgirl, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have finally opened up about the situation. Saying they are disappointed, the directors took to Instagram to share a few words.
The DC fandom was taken for a wild ride recently when it was announced that Batgirl will no long be releasing in theatres and on HBO Max. Already shot and in its final stages of production, the film was cancelled amidst Warner Bros' change in leadership and strategy to how they approach DC film. Not deeming it as a blockbuster affair and cancelling it for a tax write-off, the Leslie Grace starrer will never be seen by anyone. Now, the directors of the film, Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, took to Instagram to talk about the cancellation saying that they are "shocked and disappointed" by the news.
