Barbie: Mattel CEO Ynel Kreiz Reveals Why They Didn't Go Ahead With Amy Schumer's Version of the Film, Says It Didn't Feel 'Smart' and 'Provocative'
Barbie is an upcoming film directed by Greta Gerwig starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera and more. The film releases in theatres on July 21, 2023.
Long before Margot Robbie joined the project, Barbie was originally set to star Amy Schumer as the titular character. However, due to creative differences the star left the project and now Mattel CEO Ynel Kreiz has shed some light on why they didn't go ahead with Schumer's version of the film.
