Actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez faced significant backlash after sharing a controversial Halloween video on Instagram. In the video, posted on November 1, Chavez appeared dressed as a modernised, "BRAT-themed" version of Jesus, dancing to Charli XCX’s song "Apple". He wore a white toga and sandals, resembling traditional depictions of Jesus, and performed his routine surrounded by actors costumed with faux wounds and arrows. The scene, staged around a long table in a nod to The Last Supper, drew mixed reactions online. Chavez, who is well-known for his role as Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital and as Father Charlie Mayhew on FX’s Grotesquerie, has yet to address the criticism publicly. However, Chavez has not yet said anything regarding the backlash.
