Eurovision 2024: Netherlands’ Joost Klein Disqualified From the Grand Final of Song Competition Following ‘Incident’
Netherlands musician Joost Klein will not be performing at the final of this year's Eurovision at the Malmo Arena in Sweden after the European Broadcasting Union confirmed that the Swedish police are investigating a complaint made by a woman after an incident following Thursday's Semi Final.
Dutch Eurovision Song Contest act Joost Klein was recently pulled from rehearsing "until further notice" after an incident on Friday, May 10. The 26-year-old singer did not perform and was only seen during the flag parade. The European Broadcasting Union said, "We are currently investigating an incident that was reported to us involving the Dutch artist. He will not be rehearsing until further notice. We have no further comment at this time and will update in due course." This comes after Joost challenged Israel's act Eden Golan about her participation in the contest during a press conference.
