In the wake of the tragic stampede that took place at a satsang in Hatras, UP, which claimed 27 lives, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has expressed his sorrow and questioned the lack of regulations for monitoring large gatherings through a post on social media.

Several people, including women and children, died after a stampede took place at a religious event in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras. The incident happened during the Satsang for Lord Shiva. Chief medical officer (CMO) of Etah Umesh Kumar Tripathi said, "We have received 27 bodies, of which 25 are females and two are males. Some injured have also been taken to hospitals." Reacting to the saddening incident, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood expressed his grief by sharing a post on social media. Taking to his X (previously Twitter) handle, he wrote, "Why?  We have so many religious places, festivals, gatherings across the country and so many innocent people lose their lives in such incidents. Will someone take a responsibility?" He then suggested that such gathering should be monitored so that innocent lives don't have to suffer. He added, "Heartbroken.
