Sunny Deol is embroiled in fresh controversy as producer Sorav Gupta has accused him of cheating and forgery. Gupta alleges that Deol accepted advance payment for a project but failed to commence filming. Reportedly, Deol received Rs 1 crore in 2016 for a film project but opted to shoot Poster Boys (2017) instead of honouring their agreement. As per HT, Gupta has claimed they had signed Deol for a movie with a total payment of Rs 4 crore, including a Rs 1 crore advance. However, Deol's failure to initiate production left Gupta with significant financial losses, as approximately Rs 2.55 crore remained in Deol's account. Furthermore, Gupta alleges that Deol manipulated the agreement, fraudulently increasing his fee from Rs 4 crore to Rs 8 crore.
