Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's starrer Stree 2 was released in the theatre on August 15 (Independence Day) and received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. The Amar Kaushik-directed film opened with INR 76.5 crore, making a huge lead over the other two releases on that day, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa. According to the makers, the horror-comedy has now collected INR 172 crore in India three days after its release. With the Rakshabandhan weekend ahead, the movie is expected to perform better in the next two days.
