The action-comedy Son of Sardaar, released in 2012, was directed by Ashwni Dhir and starred Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Juhi Chawla. As fans eagerly await official details about Son of Sardaar 2, recent reports state that Mrunal Thakur has joined Ajay and Sanjay for the sequel. It has also been reported that filming, under the direction of Vijay Kumar Arora (a noted Punjabi filmmaker) will commence by the end of July in Scotland.
