In a recent interview, actor Shahid Kapoor revealed that he didn't charge a fee for his role in the film Haider. He explained that the filmmakers couldn't afford his fee, and if they had to pay him, it would have jeopardised the film's budget since it was an experimental project. Despite this, Shahid Kapoor was passionate about the film and saw it as a compelling and unique project, so he chose to work on it without compensation. Haider featured a stellar star cast of Tabu, Kay Kay Menon, Irrfan Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor. Shahid, who was last seen in web show Farzi and an OTT film Bloody Daddy received huge praises for her performance.
