The president of All India Bishnoi Society, Devendra Budiya, recently reacted to the firing incident outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence and has issued an official statement. As per a report, Devendra Budiya said that the Bishnoi community are ready to forgive the Bollywood superstar for the blackbuck case of 1998 if he offers an apology. After Salman Khan's former girlfriend Somy Ali used an apology on his behalf, Devendra Budiya reacted to it and said, "If Salman himself apologises, the Bishnoi society will consider the apology as the mistake was not made by Somy Ali, but Salman Khan. No one else can apologise on his behalf. If he himself comes to the temple and seeks forgiveness, our samaj could think about forgiving him because one of our 29 rules in forgiveness. Salman should further take an oath that he will never make such a mistake and will work to protect wildlife and the environment."
