As the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 kicked off on Monday, May 20, Paresh Rawal cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai. The Bollywood actor was one of the early voters who arrived to fulfil their voting rights in the fifth phase of ongoing elections. After exercising his vote, Paresh Rawal expressed his views regarding the importance of voting and the consequences of not exercising it. He said, "Aap kahoge sarkar yeh nahi karti, who nahi karti aur agar aaj aap matdaan nahi karoge toh uske like zimmedaar aap honge aur sarkar zimmeddar nahi hai." He further said that there should be provisions made for people who choose not to vote. "Jo log vote nahi karte unka kuch na kuch to pravdhan hona chaiye. Ya to tax badha do."
