Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2, which hit the theatres on Independence Day (August 15), recently achieved a historic milestone by becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. With National Cinema Day on Friday, more audiences are attracted to the theatres with affordable rates to watch their favourite films which will significantly boost their collections. As per the latest box office updates, the horror-comedy has surpassed Jawan's National Cinema Day earnings as well. Stree 2 has collected anywhere between INR 4.80-5.20 crore on its day 37. SRK's Jawan collected INR 4.80 crore last year on National Cinema Day. Surprisingly, last year's National Cinema Day also took place on the 37th day of Jawan's release. That makes the comparison fair. Stree 2 will soon reach the INR 600 mark. On the other hand, Sohum Shah's Tumbbad re-release experienced houseful shows on Friday. ‘Pathaan’ Makers YRF Congratulate ‘Stree 2’ Team for Becoming Bollywood’s Biggest Box Office Hit Ever.
