Lara Dutta, currently filming her role as Rani Kaikeyi in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, addressed the persistent issue of pay disparity in the Indian film industry. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Dutta talked about the ongoing struggle for equal pay. "We work as hard, if not harder, than most of our male counterparts in the business, but most women still get paid, if they are lucky, one-tenth of what the actor gets paid," she told the portal.
