Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut has filed a police complaint after a recent video circulating on social media showed an influencer from Punjab threatening her over the release of her upcoming film, 'Emergency'.

Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Emergency has received death threats on social media. She will be portraying the role of former PM Indira Gandhi in the movie which is slated to release on September 6. Now, a video circulating online shows a Punjabi influencer threatening the BJP MP. We could hear a man saying, "Aap ye picture release karte ho to sardaarone aapko chappal maarni hi hai. Laafa to aapne kha liya. I am a very proud Indian and a proud Marathi. If we spot you anywhere in my country or my state, then not just a sikh and Marathi, but all Hindus, Christians and Muslim brothers will welcome you with chappals." Another man could be seen threatening Kangana that if Sikhs were projected in a negative way in the film, there would be consequences to face. In the viral clip, we could also see Bigg Boss 7 fame Ajaz Khan. Soon after the video went viral online, Kangana Ranaut took to her X (previously Twitter) handle reshared the clip and wrote, "Please look in to this @DGPMaharashtra @himachalpolice @PunjabPoliceInd."
