In this Boney Kapoor film, Ajay portrayed the role of Syed Abdul Rahim, the coach of the Indian football team during 1950's. After the success of the sports flick, Ajay will be portraying a sportsperson on screen again. As per the latest update, Ajay Devgn will join with director Tigmanshu Dhulia for a movie based on India's first Dalit Cricketer, Palwankar Baloo. Producer Priti Sinha shared the announcement on her social media handle. She wrote that she, along with Ajay Devgn and Tigmanshu Dhulia, will be producing the story of Baloo Palwankar based on Ram Guha's book A Corner Of A Foreign Field. However, soon after the announcement, media channels began to speculate that Ajay Devgn would play the lead role in the upcoming project. On May 31, Priti Sinha responded to a media post regarding Ajay Devgn's casting and wrote, "Untrue news …we are all just producing the film …cast and credits will be finalised later…please delete this…not true at all."
