The trailer for IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, starring Vijay Varma, was released by Netflix on Monday, August 19. The upcoming series is based on the 1999 hijacking of an Indian aircraft by Pakistani militants. Written and created by Anubhav Sinha, the series will showcase the story of India's longest hijacking. It depicts the extreme chaos and tension following the hijacking while also exploring the Central Government's efforts to find a solution to it. IC 814 also features Naseeruddin Shah, Patralekha, Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza, Kumud Mishra, Arvind Swami and Manoj Pahwa, among others.
