The Bombay High Court has put the release of the Hindi film Hamare Baarah on hold. The court, acting on a petition filed by Azhar Tamboli, directed the makers to postpone the release from its original June 7 date to June 14, 2024. The petitioner argued that the film not only offends the Muslim community's sentiments but also misrepresents the Quran. Starring Annu Kapoor, the film tells the story of Manzoor Ali Khan Sanjari, who defies doctors' advice and refuses to allow an abortion for his second wife, who faces health risks during her sixth pregnancy.
