Fukrey 3, starring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi and Manjot Singh, hit the big screens today. It is the third installment of the Fukrey franchise. The film directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has opened to mixed reactions from critics. While some have praised the performances and the comic timings, a few found the narrative to be a bit weak. Take a look at some of the reviews posted by critics. Fukrey 3 Movie Review: Varun Sharma's 'Deja Choo' and Pankaj Tripathi's English Zingers Bring The House Down In This Funny Threequel!

Hindustan Times – Everything unfolding onscreen is funny for obvious reasons. But I really wish Mrighdeep Singh Lamba stuck to some clean humour and clever comic punches, instead of throwing such convenient toilet humour at our faces, that after a point you wonder if the writers ran out of ideas.

Film Companion – I’m no connoisseur of cringe comedy, and I’ve been waiting for a chance to say this, but Dhamaal (2007) and Welcome (2007) remain undefeated champions of the genre. Either I was too young, or every franchise since has operated under the misguided impression that unfunny is the new funny; poop is the new nincompoop; and people are the new animals.

NDTV Movies – A few of the non-sequiturs that Pankaj Tripathi spouts may tickle the funny bone a touch, especially because of the deadpan manner in which he tosses them off, but there isn't much else in the film that is genuinely uproarious.

Scroll.in – Compared to the new film, the first Fukrey, from 2013, is a comic masterpiece. The sequel, Fukrey Returns, arrived in 2017 with no other purpose except to give beloved characters a new crackpot adventure.
