Chehre: Allahabad High Court Refuses to Grant Interim Relief Against Release of Amitabh Bachchan’s Film in Copyright Case

As per the portal single-judge Justice JJ Munir said that while the movie and the copyrighted work alleged to have been plagiarised, appear to have come from a common source, they are materially different in treatment and development.

As per the latest update on Bar & Bench, Allahabad High Court has refused to grant any interim relief against the release of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chehre in a plea alleging copyright case. FYI, a case was filed by Uday Prakash against the producer of Chehre Anand Pandit for plagiarising his copyrighted script.
