After hearing about the death of close friend and politician Baba Siddique, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan stopped the shooting of Bigg Boss 18 in Film City and rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra West, Mumbai, as reported by IANS. It has also been reported that Salman Khan's security has been enhanced and that he has been advised not to visit Lilavati. However, around 3 AM, Salman Khan visited Lilavati Hospital to show his support to Baba Siddique's family. Actor Sanjay Dutt, actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were also seen at the hospital. More celebrities were expected at the facility to meet Siddiqui's family after the incident. Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12 by at least three assailants at around 9:30 PM. The attack reportedly took place outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in the Nirmal Nagar area of Bandra East. The senior politician sustained severe injuries from at least three gunshot wounds, revealed the doctors at Lilavati. A longtime member of the Indian National Congress (INC), Baba Siddique joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
