Known affectionately as 'Dadamoni', Ashok Kumar's remarkable performances and timeless charm have left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, inspiring generations of actors and filmmakers. The ministry shared a video showcasing Kumar's early days in the industry, highlighting his exceptional talent and versatility. His iconic roles in films such as Bahu Begum and Pakeezah continue to be celebrated for their depth and emotion. In recognition of his extraordinary contributions, Ashok Kumar was honoured with prestigious awards, including the Padma Shri (1967), Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1988) and Padma Bhushan (1999).
