Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha, bought a house after denying to do so for a considerable period. The brother of Nithin Kamath said he advocated that "renting is the best, only fools would buy property". Through such belief, they said that renting was better than homeownership. Comedian Sonali Thakker Desai took on Indian entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath and posted, "So let this be a lesson to literally everyone who listened to him or any other finance bro and based their real estate decisions on rubbish reels".
