Elon Musk has reportedly struck a deal with China's Baidu for driver assistance. Tesla CEO visited China and met with Premium Li Qiang in Beijing on April 28, 2024. Musk said he was honoured to meet the 8th premier of the People's Republic of China. The tech billionaire visited to seek the Beijing's approval for rolling out FSD (Full Self-Driving) software in China. According to the report by The Reuters, Elon Musk's Tesla won key endorsement from China related to the advanced driver-assistance systems. The report said that Elon Musk's Tesla reached an agreement with Baidu. The report mentioned that the deal would reportedly allow Tesla to use Baidu's "mapping license for data collection" on the public road of China, an important step for introduction of FSD in China.
