Elon Musk's Tesla will introduce a new feature called "blind spot warning" in its EV models. Using this feature, the Tesla owners can detect any object approaching the car while they try to open their doors. According to Sawyer Merritt, "if you try to open a door while an approaching object is detected in your blind spot... the blind spot warning light will flash, an audio warning will sound." The car's doors will not open at the first press of the bottom. The approaching object would be another vehicle or a cyclist, said Merritt. However, the Tesla owners can override the warning by pressing the button again. Elon Musk’s Tesla Secures USD 200 Million Deal With Ausgrid for 200 MW, 400 MW Megapack Battery Projects in Australia.
