Elon Musk's Tesla recently laid off hundreds of employees from several divisions due to facing challenges such as slow demand for EVs and rising price competition among other players in the market. Amid the Tesla layoffs and related news, the electric vehicle maker published its impact report of 2023 and said it received 5.9 million job applications in 2023. Tesla posted in its Tesla Impact Report 2023, "A core principle of our recruiting strategy is that the best talent doesn't always come from the established recruiting channels. We are focused on attracting and developing exceptional talent and supporting their growth, regardless of their background."
