The ambitious project of Chandrayaan-2 was supposed to launch on July 15, but it was abandoned due to a 'technical glitch'. It later took off amidst applause on Monday. Chandrayaan 2 was one of the most complex and prestigious missions ever undertaken by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). With this India becomes the fourth country after Russia, the US and China to pull off a soft landing on the moon.
