Bijnor, April 21: The guests at a Bijnor wedding were taken by surprise when a 24-year-old boy stormed into a wedding and hurled a garland at the bride sitting into a stage. It is nothing less than a climax of a romantic Bollywood movie, where a hero performs these kind of stunts.

The 24-year-old real life romantic hero, ‘Rahul’, who stormed into a wedding on a motorcycle with a garland in Uttar Pradesh’s Nagina district. He tossed the garland at the bride.

According to a report in The Times of India, the garland made a picture-perfect landing and wrapped itself around the neck of the bride as the groom who sat next to her looked on in disbelief. The bride then stood up, walked up to the youth and put a garland of her own around his neck instead of the groom.

However, Youth’s daring act was short lived, as the infuriated relatives caught hold of him and beat him black and blue. Policemen later rescued him. The groom’s family called off the wedding and guests left the venue. This incident took place on Wednesday.

According to police, the youth and the girl studied together. They were in a relationship but their families were opposed to it as the woman is a Dalit while the youth belongs to an upper caste.
