While talks and debates on women's safety in public places happen at lengths, very little is done on grass root levels. While she initially thought him to be young, she was shocked by his actions. Talking about women's safety, she further writes, "Police guards the Mumbai Local's Ladies Coaches 9 p.m. onwards. However, today's incident proves this isn't enough for the safety of the women. This is insane. N i cant imagine a boy of that age in this kind of situation. It was horrifying. I was numb. Bt kept quite for few minutes bcoz i wanted the world to see this! (sic)"

While Mumbai local trains deploy one police officer per women's compartment after 9 pm, incidents like these which happen in day broad light questions the safety of women in public transport in the city. While this incident reached social media, there are innumerable such cases which are ignored for the better good. There is a need for the public transport system to be better equipped so that women feel safe and secure while travelling.
