Move over Blue or white dress, pink or green shoes, the debate on the colour of tennis balls, because this peculiar thing has evolved and now it is audio notes, where people hear or see the same thing differently. The talks began after 20-year-old Instagram 'influencer' and YouTuber from Florida named Cloe Feldman shared an audio clip on social media asking her followers what they heard. The interest in the sound notes hiked so much that social media users started trending hashtags #TeamYanny and #TeamLaurel depending on what they heard. Soon linguists and researchers entered the debate with scientific explanations. It was said that as the audio frequency of both the words was the same, there was a high chance of them sounding alike. It also depends on the variations in how different people perceive sound and the frequencies they pick up. What do you hear? Do let us know in the comment section below.
