Football fans got more than they bargained in Tuesday’s fixture between Bristol Rovers and Crawley. Well, the supporters of Bristol Rovers during their side’s Carabao Cup first-round victory were heading for the half-time refreshments. Little did anyone expected; X-rated TV channel Babestation broadcasted on the big screen. That's right! Instead of the usual Sky Sports News showing the scores, there appeared porn videos. Hundreds of supporters, many of whom were children were shocked to see adult scenes in the newly renovated clubhouse and bars. Soon, the footage disappeared, but only to reappear on the screens. This Cristiano Ronaldo’s Bicycle Kick Goal vs Juventus Is Nominated for UEFA Goal of the Season.

It is believed that someone in the bar managed to get hold of a common remote for the televisions. As initially reported by the Bristol post, “The club have confirmed that they believe someone was using a 'universal remote device' to change the channel.” The rival club, Bristol City too came down tweeting about their screens and confirming that they cannot promise any Babestation and that their TVs have parental control.

Fans were quick to tweet their amusement!

‘Babestation’ is an adult British TV sex line which invites viewers to call and speak live with their scantily-clad hosts. One of the viewers, Dave told BBC, “To be honest the Flake advert was more racy than what we saw last night. It was quite amusing really. The first time we thought it was just an advert but then the football came back on and then whoever had a remote control put it back on again and there was a massive cheer.”

Meanwhile, the chairman of Bristol Rovers Steve Hamer said that an investigation on the ‘unacceptable’ action is underway. It may have been embarrassing, but the Rovers must have enjoyed the last laugh winning 2-1 over Crawley.
