Woman Doing 'Extreme' Yoga on Balcony Falls 6 Floors Down in Mexico, Breaks 110 Bones But Survives (See Pic)

A woman who was practising an extreme yoga pose by balancing on the edge of her balcony railing, slipped and fell down six floors. Alexa Terrazas landed on the driveway of her building 25 meters down, located in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. The 23-year-old was attempting the stunt for photos but lost balance and fell down six floors on Saturday. A photo of her hanging upside down from the railing on her balcony has gone viral on social media. Alexa was immediately rushed to a local hospital where medics had to conduct an 11-hour-long surgery on her. According to reports, she fell at 1:10 pm local time and was immediately taken to by paramedics from the Red Cross and the Nuevo Leon Civil Protection. After the hours-long surgery, doctors said that she might not able to walk for three years. According to her neighbours, Alexa often practices yoga in her balcony. Investigations from the Nuevo Leon attorney general's office found no structural failings in the balcony. Alexa continues to remain in critical condition in the hospital. She has fractured her four limbs and has substantial injuries to her hips and skull. Around 100 blood donors signed up to help Alexa. The fall was also terrible that it could have killed her. Fortunately, she was saved, but has to go through a long period of recovery. In the past too, doctors people trying extreme yoga poses have been injured.
