Woman Delivers a Baby in Kansas Hospital Corridor, and The Photographs Will Leave You Speechless
Jess’ story is not only impressive but empowering. It makes all women believe that giving birth is nothing to be feared of.
The process of giving birth is a miracle in itself. No one displays more strength than a woman in labour. We all may have heard of anecdotes from mothers about their experiences in the delivery room, but nothing like Jess Hogan's, who made it to the hospital just in time. Last summer, Jess delivered her sixth baby, Maxwell, in the hallway of Kansas emergency room. Along with Jess and her husband Travis, photographer Tammy Karin of Little Leaping Photography, managed to capture incredible candid series of photos. Jess recently shared her birthing story, and the photos are going viral on the social media. Scroll down to see and read her fun-filled story.
According to the birth story, Jess had visited the hospital early in the day of July 19, 2017. Her labour had stalled, and her husband and she were sent back home. At around 2 AM on the same night, Jess was awoken by a long and strange contraction. By the time the couple could leave the house, Jess’ water broke, making her think that she would have to deliver at the house. On the way to the hospital, she texted Karin, the couple’s birth photographer.

Jess about to deliver in the hallway
Karin assisted Jess to enter the hospital, while Travis was trying to get some help. By the time, Jess reached the hallway, the baby couldn’t wait any longer. Jess began to give birth and Travis took over from Karin. Karin immediately fired up her camera and started clicking. She managed to capture an incredible moment where Travis alone delivered her son’s head. Later he was assisted by Linda, a relief ER nurse, who came around to complete the delivery.

Finally, little Max makes his way out
The photos reveal that the entire process was done so hastily that the nurse didn’t have any time to shift Jess to a room. They were all gentle and calm throughout. The nurse even allowed Jess and Max to have some bonding time before moving them.

Karin shared the incredible photos both on her website and Facebook page, and undoubtedly garnered a lot of attention. And so did the couple. Hogans are a military family and although Travis is deployed, the entire family is happy and healthy. Jess is extremely proud of Travis to play such an important role in delivering their child.
