Mumbai, February 20: A video has surfaced on social media pointing out how vulnerable people are inside lifts at metro stations. In the video, a woman is seen being thrashed and robbed inside a lift by an unidentified. The incident took place at the Taman Mutiara Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in Cheras district of Malaysia. The victim was not identified either. However, the video is being shared widely on social media raising security concerns inside metro station lifts.

As seen in the video, a woman enters a lift followed by a man. As soon as the doors close, the man starts beating the woman black and blue. She resists, however, the attacker continues his assault. The helpless woman tries to catch hold of the man, but fails. At one point, when the lift halts, the attacker grabs the woman by her hair and doesn't let her go. The accused was later arrested. The video highlights how unsafe women are inside lifts installed at metro stations or other public places. In Hyderabad, however, lifts at metro stations have become a place to make out. Recently, videos surfaces in which couples were seen kissing and making out inside lifts installed at Hyderabad metro station.
