According to conspiracy theorists, doomsayers are warning that on April 23 a biblical prophecy signalling the second coming of Jesus will lead to the destruction of everyone on the planet. A planetary alignment of the moon, sun and Jupiter in Virgo will apparently trigger the deadly prophecy. Christian conspiracy theorist David Meade has been the main proponent of the idea, predicting that the death star Nibiru will also appear in the sky. Nibiru, also known as Planet X, is supposedly a large object on a collision course with Earth.

The idea was first circulated by alien expert Nancy Liederin 1995 and has caused huge traction with believers on the web since. Mr. Meade has suggested that Niburu’s appearance will spark seismic geological disasters. According to conspiracy theorists, codes in the Bible suggest the end of the world is imminent. The passage signals the start of the Rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ. The passage 12:1-2 reads, “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.” It is thought that Virgo is the woman from the passage and Jupiter is Messiah, which matches the planetary alignment due to take place on April 23.

Mr. Meade says the forthcoming planetary alignment is a ‘unique once-in-a-century sign’. He further said, “During this time frame, on April 23, 2018, the moon appears under the feet of the constellation Virgo. The Sun appears to precisely clothe Virgo… Jupiter is birthed on April 8, 2018. The 12 stars at that date include the nine stars of Leo, and the three planetary alignments of Mercury, Venus and Mars – which combine to make a count of 12 stars on the head of Virgo. This is our time marker.”

Meade said Nibiru passing Earth is what will begin the Rapture with massive volcanic eruptions due to its gravitational force. Don’t fret peeps, Space.com claims to have debunked it and NASA is also on board to disapprove the theory. Space.com said that Meade’s prediction of the sky arrangement is false. NASA has also said multiple times that Nibiru or Planet X does not exist at all and that the theory is nothing but a hoax.
