According to reports, the incident took place in Lanka Para range in West Bengal's Alipurduar district. On Thursday, the forest staff at Lankapara range under Jaldapara National Park (JNP) received a message that a King Cobra was spotted at a village near the border with Bhutan. A team of forest officials reached the location near Lankapara Tea Estate and managed to rescue the 10-feet-long snake.

Forest Guard Poses with King Cobra:
King Cobra, also known as the hamadryad, is one of the most venomous snakes. In a similar incident last year, Sanjay Dutta, a forest ranger of Belacoba range, was caught posing with a python in Bengal's Jalpaiguri district.
