Localities reported that in 1975, everything changed when a 17-year-old boy took out a Ouija table, the spirit board to check his powers, who asked a devil to become a werewolf in exchange of his soul. Soon after, one of his friends answered to the call from the boy, but only rough noises were heard. The boy was found dead holding a silver knife, as apparently the only way to kill him was with a silver object. In 2007, a mailman reported that he saw an animal which looked like a dog that stood on two legs and ran into forest, while he was on duty. And these creatures not just appear in nights. But experts suggest that the werewolf could be an underground retreat from the stone age who may have survived for years in the mines.
Another legend suggests that in Cannock Chase forest, a hybrid human-pig who is seven feet tall was witnessed by the inhabitants. It is believed that the human-pig escaped from the Laboratories of the Second World War. Meanwhile, another paranormal activity of black-eyed child has been witnessed in the same place. Ghost hunters, who have visited the woods too audio recordings of the child’s voice.
In late 80’s and early 90’s, the sky at Cannock Chase was filled with mysterious lights that many residents thought were of UFOs. Again, a police officer had reported that an object performed a series of odd things in the sky before it disappeared. Time and again, the Cannock County Cemetery is believed to be a place with more reports on mythical creatures. Apart from its supernatural, the place was also the resting home for many Austrian and German soldiers who fought in the 1st and 2nd World War.
