The Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo India has recently revealed Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan as their new brand ambassador. Today at the Vivo V9 launch event, along with revealing the specifications of the new phone, the brand also launched their new advertisement with Aamir Khan. Reportedly, the brand will be seen aggressively promoting the association with the actor through a high-budget marketing.

In the new ad, Aamir enters his home and he finds it in a messed up condition, with things lying here and there.  It is revealed next that his 'innocent looking devil pets' have been behind the action. In the next moment, he gets a message from his partner asking  if their pets are behaving themselves. Aamir then clicks a picture with both his pets standing in the midst of all the mess, but he edits the background using the bokeh mode in his phone. It thus highlights,  the new feature- great portraits under any condition in Vivo V9 phone.

The brand is known to spend huge moolah, by associating with popular properties in the sports and entertainment domain. Vivo is the title sponsor for Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 11 and it has retained their title rights till 2022. The brand has acquired the title sponsorship rights for Rs 2,199 crore, which translates to roughly Rs 440 crores per year being added to the BCCI coffers. The brand came into the picture in 2016, when PepsiCo suddenly decided to withdraw their title sponsorship contract with IPL.  In that year, the brand had acquired the title rights with IPL for Rs 200 crore over a 2-year period.

With Aamir Khan coming on board as the ambassador, it also means the end of contract with actor Ranveer Singh, who was endorsing Vivo since the last 2 years. It will be interesting to see if Mr Perfectionist will be able to fit in the shoes of the vivacious and energetic Ranveer Singh, who has managed to create a good recall for the brand in India.
