In a rare sighting, fishermen from Chatham spotted and captured a killer whale swimming with dolphins, in the waters off Cape Cod. A captain for Got Stryper Fishing Charters, Kelly Zimmerman, along with two other fishermen, identified as Charlie Whitcomb and Greg Gibbs, filmed the orca racing with a pod of dolphins for an unbelievable 22 seconds. Captain Zimmerman who was later interviewed, stated to media outlets that the killer whale and dolphins were spotted about 70 miles off the Cape Cod and the viral video, uploaded on Facebook is mesmerizing the netizens. Killer Whale Imitates Human Speech in France Aquarium! Zimmerman told the Herald, “It was kind of breathtaking to be honest.” He further added, “It didn’t sink in until today. I had a couple lifelong harpoon guys contact me and tell me I saw a unicorn. They said 35 years of being on the water almost every day, they’ve never seen one.” It was a Got Stryper Fishing Charters’ employee, who shared the video on its Facebook page, captioning the sight as “one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.” It is clearly, one of the fascinating sight that you would love to behold for a longer time.

The beautiful sight was captured, during a 15-hour tuna scouting expedition where Zimmerman and his team also spotted 100-150 other whales, which are popular to feed in the area and a handful of sharks. He further reported that the majestic creature continued to swam alongside his boat for nearly half an hour. The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy stated that though orcas have been spotted off Cape Cod in the past, it is a “very rare” occurrence.
