The freaky-looking Momo, was created by Japanese artist Keisuke Aiso, which became infamous after reports in 2018 hinted suicidal tendencies and other self-harm activities among children because of the sculpture. It further made appearances and resurfaced in 2019 on various online games and YouTube videos, scaring the teenagers to perform dangerous stunts. However, researchers claimed that Momo challenge was not particularly widespread and no children hurt themselves because of it. The challenge was essentially a hoax, and fear of it turned Momo, the creepy-looking woman into a viral sensation.
