The shocking incident took place at 11.25pm and one of the witnesses said Davila told him, "I don’t eat flesh, I just drink blood" just before he bit the shopkeeper a little under his eye. The person began to bleed profusely and that only encouraged this supposed vampire. The CCTV footage from the store has captured Davila biting the shopkeeper's face and elbow. The shopkeeper tried to prevent the guy from stealing a drink from the cooler.

Michael Keegan another witness of the attack was quoted to Boston 25, that the boy began to play 'finger paints' with the shopkeeper’s blood 'and licked it and put it all over his face'. "It was really bizarre…[He] spit the piece on the floor…And I’m like, ‘Oh my God’," he said in the report. When cops arrived, Davila was sitting in the aisle of the store, with his fingers covered in the blood of his victim.
