In a shocking incident that has finally been revealed, a school warden has been accused of molesting young girls dressing up as a ghost. The incident has been happening in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School in a Meerut block in Uttar Pradesh. A probe has been ordered after eight girls from the school wrote letters with pencils to the district magistrate. The place accommodates 100 students, two teachers and a warden. In the letter, the girls detailed that they were molested by ghosts.
According to a report in The Times of India, their warden walks around the premises in the night with her face covered to scare them. A 10-year-old girl studying in Class 6 wrote, "She carries a perfume-like liquid with her and keeps spraying it on certain girls. She also whispers, pretending to talk to a girl that doesn't exist. She pulls our clothes and at times even arms and legs but we do not budge or open our eyes."
In each of the three large rooms that have 20 beds, each shared by two girls, a teacher should be present, but they don't. The girls from Class 6, 7 and 8 said that they were molested by banshees who came covering themselves, in the letter.
Another letter reads, "Our warden has also taken a few girls outside the school premises at night. She also came to my room and touched me inappropriately when I was half-asleep and I continued to pretend that I was asleep." According to the report, although parents of a few girl students approached the local police with a complaint, an FIR was not registered.
Meerut basic shiksha adhikari Satendra Kumar was quoted as saying, "An inquiry, headed by the Kasturba Gandhi schools' district coordinator and block education officer, has been set up. Prima facie, it has come to our knowledge that the children were being scared as part of a tiff between a full-time teacher and the warden. For the molestation charges, the role of a class IV staff is being suspected. As soon the report is submitted, appropriate and strict action will be taken."
