A Ukranian man reportedly resorted to desperate measures in order to avoid the compulsory military service. A 24-year-old man named Alexander Kondratyuk decided to marry his 81-year-old cousin after he had developed strong affection towards her! Now officials are investigating if it was an attempt to escape from the conscription which is the compulsory enlistment of people in national service. Wanting a Perfect Tinder Profile 69-Year-Old Dutch Man Wants to Become 20 Years Younger Legally to Impress Women.

There are exceptions to the conscription one of which includes proving the disability of wife. If a person has a marriage certificate and valid proof of disability of a partner, then they are exempted from the service. Kondratyuk married his cousin Zinaida Illarionovna, who is 57 years elder to him. Reports in DailyMail also say that Zinaida Illarionovna insists "he was a good husband and looked after her carefully." Love And Let Love! 67-Year-Old Man Marries 24-Year-Old Woman in Punjab, HC Orders Police To Give Them Security.

Meanwhile, her neighbours mentioned to a local report that she was more visited by other relatives and nephews than her "supposed husband." They also said Kondratyuk would bring up their marriage certificate every time the draft board came in for new recruits. With his wife's disability certificate he would return home. The authorities of conscription said that he has valid proof and thus he cannot be forced into service as he happens to be resident there.

If proved that there is no valid marital union between the two, he would be called for military service. However, army officials do not have the time to delve deep into the matter. The report further states, "They said if the publicity did not embarrass him into turning up, then he would be allowed to continue with the arrangement." We do not know the truth of the matter but if it is true then his actions are definitely questions. Or should we call it a case of "Desperate times call for desperate measures?" (Pun intended)
