A piece of news doing rounds on the internet that a two suns rose in Canada and USA border is fake. The message of two suns rising is seen everywhere from Facebook to WhatsApp. However, it is fake and is being blindly circulated. The message along with pictures and videos reads, "Today ... on the border between the United States and Canada dawned like this. Two suns arose, one being the real sun and the other, the Moon. This phenomenon is known as Hunters Moon and happens when the earth changes axis. The moon and the sun are born at the same time and the moon reflects the brightness of the sun with such intensity that it looks like a second sun. Share!" Fake News! What is Hunter's moon?
There practically cannot be two suns existing in the sky, however, sometimes the sun's reflection can seem like the second moon. This usually happens if there are ice crystals present in the sky that act as a mirror.
Known as a sanguine or harvest moon, the term "hunter's moon" refers to a full moon that appears in October, closest to the autumnal equinox (which falls on the 22nd or 23rd of September).
As far as the Whatsapp forward goes, be wary of the "news" that circulate on the social media that present zero evidence or scientific backing.
