A massive sinkhole that opened up suddenly in the middle of a road destroyed two cars on Saturday. The incident happened on a street in Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjiang province in north-east China. The cars tumbled down in the sinkhole one after the other. As per reports, previous nights rains had damaged the roads and made them vulnerable. The sinkhole formed on the busy road is 10 meters long and over four meters deep.
Nobody has been injured in the accident. Three people in the car escaped in the nick of the time. According to a report in the South China Morning Post, the driver of the second car said he realised he was driving into a hole only after he felt the front of his car dip. And only by the time he hit the brake, he realised there was another car in the sinkhole. The incident is currently being investigated.

Last year a similar incident took place in Harbin, the capital city of China's northeastern Heilongjiang province. The driver of the car was inside the vehicle when his Rolls-Royce dipped inside. Fortunately, the man was injured but the car had been damaged completely. In another incident last year, a video showed a massive sinkhole being formed on a road in China and a man riding a scooter falling into it.
